Board Of Directors Meeting
May 31, 2005
In attendance: Gary Bradford, Tony Stoltz and Kelly Steele. Bob Monson joined for last 15 minutes.
Absent: Craig Eller and Sal Gervasi
Start time: 8.08 PM
Gary proposed and majority agreed to the following:
Keep regions the same but reduce the number of tournaments to three per region. To qualify for State Classic must fish 3 in a region with no throw outs. Keep Travelers region and take best 5 tournaments for points. Top 20 qualifying anglers in all regions will fish the State Classic.
Tournament Directors may hold additional “open” tournaments but must also have a casting kids event and/or conservation effort along with the tournament. Participation from an affiliated club is encouraged to assist with the open tournaments, especially with the kids or conservation portion of the event.
Dual tournaments are encouraged in all regions.
The Angler of the Year for any region that has an average of 40 anglers per event will automatically qualify as a non-boater on the state team. They may also fish the State Classic to try and qualify for a boater position.
Any affiliated club with more than 5 participating members can qualify their AOY for the State Classic.
All board members will receive 3 free entries, not including options, to fish any qualifying regional tournament in a year.
Minutes taken by Kelly Steele.
Minutes will be forwarded to Gary Bradford for distribution to all board members.
Another board meeting, with all members, will be held to discuss the above for possible approval.
Meeting adjourned at 9:15
