President’s Welcome

2010 CBF State ChampionshipsThe state is divided in to six adult regions and a youth region that comprise the California Bass Federation. Tournaments are held for each region to determine the winning anglers in a boater on boater type format. The top qualifying anglers fish at the state championship to determine who will progress to the TBF National Semi-Finals. The top 12 finishers of the CBF State Championships become the California Bass Federation State Team.  Clubs in good standing can send their top club members to the CBF Club Championship and the TBF National Semi-Final event too.  The winners of the TBF National Semi-Finals will progress to the TBF National Championship where the ‘Living the Dream’ winner is announced.  The winners of the TBF National Championships are then on the road to the Forrest Wood Cup and BFL All American.

We are proud of our Federation and many anglers have come from within the ranks of everyday fisherman to fish the FLW championship. Fishermen by the likes of Mark Daniels Jr., Aaron Martins, Skeet Reese, Gary Klein, Dean Rojas, Mike Reynolds, and many others have shown the rest of the world that West Coast fishermen can compete with the best.

On behalf of the California Bass Federation and its state-wide membership, I welcome you. As a whole, we truly have good things in the works. If you have any questions about this website or the Federation, please email me.
